Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in finite element analysis, structural design, and material selection.

Responsibilities
  • Own full product development cycles from concept through production.
  • Create and maintain engineering models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Lead design architecture and engineering decision-making.
  • Drive innovation in product performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and sales.
  • Establish project scope, timelines, and technical requirements.
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in customer and supplier discussions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor emerging engineering team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and design reviews.
  • Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Lead development of innovative products and processes that improve performance and efficiency.

Standard Iron provides metal fabrication services for OEMs, handling parts from simple shear and brake work to intricate welded assemblies. Customers submit parts designs and the company uses its full range of metalworking equipment along with design support to turn those designs into finished components. Its process is supported by electronic data interchange, bar-coded data collection, and other integrated systems to ensure fast communication and accurate production.
