We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to support our client in Blue Ash, Ohio, for a 3-6 month contract period. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing detailed inspections, including first article inspections, receiving inspections, and root cause/corrective actions. This role requires proficiency in measurement tools, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry and customer specifications.
What to Expect
- This is a full-time position, working the 2nd shift (hours: 2 PM - 10:30 PM) with overtime as required.
- The role involves performing general inspection services to ensure materials and products meet all applicable quality requirements.
- Background checks and drug tests are required prior to hiring.
What you’ll Do:
- Perform inspections and verify that materials and products meet applicable specifications.
- Use handheld measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators for dimensional studies and measurement system analysis.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, military specifications, and customer requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on discrepancies.
- Conduct first article inspections, receiving inspections, and support as a designated supplier quality representative when necessary.
- Ensure all inspection results are properly documented and notify the appropriate personnel of any discrepancies.
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing inspection environment.
- Proficient in the use of handheld measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Visual Acuity
- Ability to work in a team environment and support site operations.
- Must pass a drug test and background check prior to hiring.
