Requirements
  • An active Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, engineering, a scientific or mathematics-intensive discipline, or a relevant technical discipline is required. Two years of relevant experience with an associate's degree, or four years of relevant experience, may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
  • CEH and CISSP certifications are required upon hire.
  • Three to five years of practical experience is required.
  • Specialized experience in red teaming, Computer Network Attack, Computer Network Exploitation, Computer Network Defense, and/or penetration testing is required.
  • Ability to independently and rapidly develop tools and scripts from concept to production using multiple programming languages in high-stress, short-deadline, under-resourced environments.
  • Experience with at least one of PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, or Node.js is required.
  • Experience performing web application security assessments is required.
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocols as they relate to network security is required.
  • Experience with offensive toolsets such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, and intercepting proxies is required.
  • Experience using network protocol analyzers and sniffers, with the ability to decipher packet captures, is required.
  • Ability to conduct penetration tests on applications, systems, and networks using formal processes and industry standards is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple penetration test engagements simultaneously from initiation through completion is required.
  • In-depth understanding of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with management, staff, vendors, and external consultants is required.
  • Ability to think creatively and emulate adversarial approaches is required.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a computer and lift 10–15 pounds at a time is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct multiple penetration tests of global customer networks.
  • Rapidly develop domain- or problem-specific tools that leverage identified vulnerabilities.
  • Research the latest exploitation techniques and threat vectors.
  • Design and configure representative test environments.
  • Support training events, conferences, exercises, demonstrations, authorized missions, and test events to maintain certification compliance and enhance technical capabilities.
  • Assist with business development activities, including technical interviews, technical documentation, proposal-writing support, and proposal color reviews.

Markon acquires Millennium Corporation to expand mission-critical cyber capabilities across US defence and intelligence markets

Markon has acquired Millennium Corporation, a cyber-solutions company specialising in adversarial threat emulation and intelligence support operations for the Department of Defense. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition combines Markon's enterprise service delivery and Intelligence Community expertise with Millennium's defense market capabilities in cyber operations, engineering and testing. The combined organisation will consolidate research and development programmes and expand K>fivefour, a cybersecurity training and certification offering. Millennium founders Cedric Henry and Kevin Jennings are retiring following the transaction. Markon, a portfolio company of Sterling Investment Partners, focuses on cybersecurity and technology for national security clients across defense, intelligence and federal civilian agencies. Cohn Reznick and Morrison & Foerster advised Markon, whilst Pipaya and Miles & Stockbridge advised Millennium.
