Responsibilities
  • Oversee and provide leadership for a multi-state regional market area, creating the sales plan for Samsung and Dacor brands executed through Builder Distribution.
  • Manage a team of 6 remote Sales Managers and develop the strategy for all builder trade customers across single-family and multi-family relationships.
  • Own full P&L accountability for combined revenue across an 8-state territory — Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas — and serves as the senior Samsung and Dacor brand representative to distributor principals, national and regional builders, multi-family developers, and architectural/design firms throughout the Southeast.

  • Manage competitive displacement strategies to grow Samsung and Dacor share against key competitors in the Southeast new construction and remodeling markets.
  • Set measurable, specific, and compatible goals aligned with organizational objectives and values; prepare written presentations and reports for business reviews, sales presentations, trade shows, and internal executive reviews as needed.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, national trade shows, and industry conferences to maintain market awareness and represent the Samsung and Dacor brands.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 remote Sales Managers across an 8-state territory, establishing clear KPIs, performance expectations, and individual development plans.
  • Drive a high-performance, accountability-driven team culture with emphasis on skill development, field coaching, and career progression; demonstrated ability to coach and elevate others analytically and strategically.
  • Own full-cycle talent management: recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, succession planning, and performance improvement processes where required.
  • Develop and execute sales training materials and programs to build team capability across product knowledge, competitive positioning, negotiation, and customer engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment that shares best practices, elevates individual contributors, and builds organizational bench strength.
  • Responsible for personal development of direct reports and all recruiting for new or open positions within the region.
  • Create and manage the regional distribution strategy across distributor accounts — including independent Builder Distributors and Retail BDs,— ensuring all programs are implemented consistently.
  • Own senior-level relationship management with distributor principals and ownership groups, serving as the executive point of contact for strategic accounts in the Southeast.
  • Negotiate and manage annual distribution agreements, programming, and co-op marketing initiatives that drive sell-through and brand activation for both Samsung and Dacor.
  • Ensure Samsung and Dacor branded showrooms are properly resourced, trained, and executing display standards across the region.
  • Manage assigned MDF and Display budget to develop showroom and project business; analyze ROI of MDF investments to maximize market share impact.

  • Develop and execute multi-family developer relationships for large-scale MF appliance specifications; own executive-level relationships with major regional MF developers.

  • Identify and define new processes and systems needed to address the unique requirements of the SF and MF builder channel segments.
  • Work cross-functionally with SCM, BOC, Credit, and Product Management to achieve regional sales plans and objectives; support the Sr. Director with market intelligence, product input, and S&OP development.
  • Work directly with Product Marketing and Supply Chain Management teams for immediate and future product needs, forecasting, and product development opportunities.

Korean chip stocks plunge 7% as rising bond yields dampen Big Tech AI spending

South Korean chip stocks led an Asian semiconductor selloff on Wednesday as rising bond yields intensified concerns over Big Tech spending. The Kospi index plunged as much as 6.8%, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each falling over 7%. A Bloomberg gauge of Asian semiconductor stocks declined more than 2%. Japanese chipmakers also suffered, with Kioxia Holdings dropping up to 11%, while Tokyo Electron and Advantest also fell. The losses followed declines in US semiconductor and AI-related shares as inflation worries and rising government debt kept bond yields elevated. "Higher rates and geopolitical risk are making investors less willing to pay a premium for that growth," said Jung In Yun, chief executive officer at Fibonacci Asset Management Global.

Samsung hikes chip prices up to 15% as AI boom leaves TSMC fully booked

Samsung Electronics is reportedly raising prices for advanced foundry services by up to 15% amid surging AI chip demand. According to Reuters, prices for Samsung's SF4 and SF5 processes increased by as much as 15%, whilst 8nm process prices rose nearly 10%. Chinese customers are reportedly facing some of the steepest increases. The move follows reports that TSMC is also considering rate hikes of up to 10% across all chip nodes starting January 2027. TSMC's capacity constraints have created opportunities for Samsung, with the Taiwanese company's 3nm capacity booked through 2027 and its 2nm output for 2026 already claimed by customers including Apple, Nvidia, and AMD. Major technology companies linked to Samsung's foundry operations include Apple, Nvidia, Google, Broadcom, Qualcomm, and Meta.

Samsung opens new AI chip design tools for foundry customers

Samsung Electronics has expanded its Advanced Foundry Ecosystem through a collaboration with Movellus Circuits focused on AI and high-performance computing chip designs. The partnership makes Movellus' Aeonic IP platform available to Samsung Foundry customers targeting advanced process nodes for power optimisation and telemetry. AI and HPC system-on-chip designers can now licence additional IP through Samsung Foundry to support performance, reliability, and efficiency objectives. The deal positions Samsung's foundry offering within the broader tech industry as AI hardware development continues. For Samsung, bringing Movellus' power and telemetry IP into its SAFE ecosystem supports its strategy around AI and high-performance memory as key business drivers. The collaboration could help attract more complex AI and HPC designs to Samsung's foundry alongside its HBM4E and PCIe 6.0 server products.
