Requirements
  • Are creative problem solvers and visual storytellers
  • Are trained in the principles of graphic design and have a good foundation of typography, illustration, photography, and iconography skills to create effective forms of digital communication
  • Have an understanding of basic web design best practices and some experience or training in high fidelity UI design
  • Help bring the “wow factor” to projects by creating unique visual directions that support and reinforce a client's brand
  • Demonstrate an ability to design systematically and are interested in creating design systems and UI parts kits that are full of personality
  • Are strong communicators who can articulate their design decisions, both in presentations and in written communication
  • Incorporate inclusive design principles and accessibility best practices in their work
  • Use research, discovery, and strategy as a foundation for making and articulating their design decisions
  • Think beyond aesthetics and apply methodical problem-solving to design
  • Are interested in many facets of digital design and find it exciting that their next project could be a design system, marketing campaign, microsite, or content website
  • Are detail oriented, self-motivated multitaskers who consistently meet deadlines and are mindful of budgets and timelines
  • Are interested in continual learning and sharing knowledge with others
  • Have an online portfolio or other example work you can share with us
  • Have a degree, certification, or equivalent work experience showing aptitude with visual design
  • At this time, we're hoping to hire a junior Visual Designer with 1-3 years experience in UI design
