Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Director for the EMEA region to join our team at the Caswell site near Towcester. The HR Director will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the HR function across EMEA. This role requires a strategic HR leader with a strong background in the UK and preferably within a US-based high-tech company.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Directly manage and develop one HR Business Partner (HRBP) based in the UK.
Coordinate with a wider team of six HR professionals across different HR functions in the EMEA region, ensuring alignment and collaboration on key initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across EMEA, providing leadership and support to the broader HR team.
HR Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Lumentum’s global objectives and regional needs.
Drive talent management, succession planning, and employee development programs.
Oversee employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations across the EMEA region.
Promote HR best practices and ensure alignment with global HR standards.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Collaborate closely with the Group VP HR based in the US, and other senior leaders to support business objectives.
Provide regular reports and updates on HR metrics and initiatives to senior management.
Travel:
Some travel within the EMEA region is required to support HR activities and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
CIPD certification is preferred.
Experience:
Extensive HR experience in the UK, ideally within a US-based company environment.
Proven track record in a high-tech industry and manufacturing is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws in the EMEA region.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
