As a strategic finance leader, you’ll be able to contribute immediately, working cross-functionally within POF, delivering robust analysis and insights directly to our Executive Leadership team. This role provides the unique opportunity to have visibility across the company’s entire P&L, learn about the various revenue streams of a fast moving consumer focused tech company, and be involved in key decisions driving our company’s growth.
The Senior Manager, Finance will report directly to the Head of Finance as a key member of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. FP&A is responsible for managing POF’s overall financial performance and presents regularly to the Executive Leadership teams of both POF and Match Group.
Please Note: You will have a choice of being Remote-First OR Office-First.
Remote First: You will have the option to work remotely from the Lower Mainland area, but we will require attendance at our downtown Vancouver office for quarterly planning, important meetings, team get togethers or whenever you want to "crew together" IRL!
Office-First: You will get to work from our downtown Vancouver office 2-3 days a week, and work remotely the remainder of the week!
So, what will you do?
- Prepare detailed and accurate forecasts and maintain the accuracy of key financial metrics to support long term strategic planning
- Present clear narratives on POF’s financial performance that accurately reflect underlying trends, product initiatives and progress against our strategic goals
- Develop materials for monthly, mid-year and annual business reviews with both the POF and Match Group executive teams
- Actively seek to improve the accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A tools and processes
- Monitor daily business performance and conduct detailed analysis, when required, to explain variations to forecast
- Partner closely with leaders across the organization (Product, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, etc.) to identify opportunities, support initiatives and provide key decision support
- Work with individual budget owners and accounting to manage operating costs and budgets
You’ll be a match for this role if you have..
- 8+ years in FP&A, Business Analysis, Consulting, or Investment Banking (preferably in tech and/or a consumer focused subscription business)
- University degree in Commerce or Business Administration (CPA or CFA considered an asset)
- Advanced Excel modeling and presentation (Google Slides) building skills
- Experience and skills required to work with large datasets, including experience with SQL, BigQuery and Tableau
- Experience with OneStream and Statistical Analysis considered a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with individuals at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
