Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three years of Accounts Payable experience, or two years of Accounts Payable experience and two courses in Accounting, are required.
  • The employee must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
  • The employee must be able to sit for prolonged periods.
  • The employee may need to walk to various areas throughout the department or medical complex using elevators or stairs.
  • The employee may occasionally need to lift up to 15 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day management of all payment-cycle activities and provide efficient customer service.
  • Resolve problems associated with payable transactions.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable federal regulations.
  • Audit payable-related transactions for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable federal regulations when required.
  • Enter transaction data into the financial system.
  • Apply discounts, special rates, or credit terms.
  • Prepare invoices for recordkeeping purposes.
  • Verify information entries and check for errors.
  • Update and maintain accounting records.
  • Verify and calculate invoice extensions and totals, and calculate and take discounts when applicable.
  • Code documents according to company procedures.
  • Track, process, and reconcile payments and expenditures.
  • Ensure the correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices and receipts.
  • Tabulate data regularly and compile necessary reports.
  • Ensure customers receive an adequate level of service and assistance with questions and concerns.
  • Manage the ePayables program and lead the department compliance self-assessment effort.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
