Requirements
  • Doctorate degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied & Computational Mathematics, or a related field
  • 0-1 Years of experience
  • Strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), cardiovascular modeling, or biomechanical growth and remodeling
  • Demonstrated experience with numerical methods (e.g., finite element method), programming languages (C++, Python), and data analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply computational models of uterine vascular growth and remodeling (G&R)
  • Integrate Doppler ultrasound data with hemodynamic simulations to test hypotheses related to uterine vascular adaptation
  • Develop data-driven models to characterize the relationship between abnormal uterine artery flow waveforms and adverse placental outcomes
  • Communicate research findings through conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ultrasound imaging and medical signal analysis is highly desirable
