Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Document local Faculty of Arts and Sciences technology needs and gather feedback on information technology systems and services.
  • Manage information technology investment request intake.
  • Partner with Faculty of Arts and Sciences divisional leadership to align technology investments with academic and operational priorities, ensuring initiatives are prioritized or funded within governance guardrails and resource budgets.
  • Facilitate divisional demand planning, including information technology roadmap development and shared visibility into intake, portfolio tradeoffs, and resource capacity.
  • Coordinate with counterparts across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to identify shared solutions to common problems.
  • Produce an annual report of divisional information technology investments and their impact.
  • Represent divisional perspectives on Faculty of Arts and Sciences and university-wide enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation when warranted; triage and assess issues requiring higher-level review.
  • Prioritize Faculty of Arts and Sciences unit needs and resolve issues within the resource budget.
  • Diagnose whether issues stem from technology, policy, or business process, and route them accordingly.
  • Approve limited exceptions to service catalog parameters for access to information technology resources.
  • Make Faculty of Arts and Sciences computer refresh and allocation decisions within established lifecycle policies.
  • Socialize and communicate information technology change initiatives within the division.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to address sensitive matters and build consensus.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues and arrange or deliver training as needed.
