Job Description Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatrician to start a new practice on Clements Ferry Road between Daniel Island and Mt. Pleasant as the lead physician. This clinical site will eventually have 2 pediatricians and will share some resources with the current MUSC practice on Daniel Island. The provider will be a full member of the Division of General Pediatrics, sharing newborn and circumcision weekend and holiday coverage at the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Job Description

Ideal Candidates:

MD/DO degree
Board Certified or Eligible by the ABP
Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions
Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
Strong interest in working with both typical as well as medically complex children
Proficient in seeing patients in the outpatient setting including health maintenance and sick visits
Comfort with management of Level I newborns in the hospital
Must be able to perform or willing to learn to perform newborn circumcisions

The MUSC Health Clements Ferry Pavilion is a four-story, 80,000-square-foot medical office building slated to open in late 2025. It will provide high-quality, accessible health care to the growing community with nearly a dozen specialties.
