The team:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior API Integration Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and managing API integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between systems. This role will be crucial in supporting our data fabric and data mesh hybrid data foundation.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior API Integration Developer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a passion for building intelligent, scalable API ecosystems. This role focuses on designing and implementing AI-enhanced API integrations using Apigee, Swagger/OpenAPI, and GCP-native services, with a working familiarity with Agent Space, Agent Garden, and agentic AI workflows is a plus.

What you will be doing

• Design, develop, and manage secure, scalable APIs using Apigee and Swagger/OpenAPI within the GCP ecosystem.
• Collaborate with AI and data teams to integrate APIs with intelligent workflows and services.
• Implement API security, rate limiting, and monitoring using GCP-native tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployment and lifecycle management.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud-native environments.
• Document API specifications and maintain version control using OpenAPI standards.
• Apply familiarity with Agent Space, Agent Garden, and agentic AI patterns to support future-ready API designs.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in API development and integration, with a strong focus on GCP-native tools.
• Proficiency in Apigee, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman.
• Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs, API security (OAuth2, JWT), and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Python, or JavaScript for API development and scripting.
• Familiarity with Agent Space, Agent Garden, and agentic AI orchestration is nice to have.
• Prior experience with SnapLogic or similar iPaaS platforms is a plus.
• Experience creating APIs on Graph Databases (e.g., Neo4j, Google Cloud Datastore).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI/ML models via APIs on GCP.
• Familiarity with GCP services like Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, and Cloud Endpoints.
• Knowledge of observability tools like Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace, and Cloud Logging.
