Responsibilities
  • How can we ensure that the right ads are put in front of the buyers while enabling all sellers to promote themselves?
  • How can we help sellers figure out how to fit advertising into their business plans?
  • What is the right team structure for a product with machine learning at its core?
  • How can we improve personalization while protecting user privacy?
  • How should Etsy Ads help Etsy meet its short and long term financial targets?
  • You will provide leadership for the Etsy Ads product
  • You will manage a highly skilled and engaged team of PMs and PM managers
  • You will invest in the growth of your reports, direct and indirect, and their cross-functional partners
  • You will collaborate with all Ads leads to craft plans to achieve business goals
  • You will work with leader from across the company to set the direction of Etsy's advertising platform

  • You have experience managing consumer product areas that account for a material portion of the business, including influencing executive teams
  • You have proven that you can lead teams of over six product teams that work on complex engineering systems, including machine learning
  • You are an excellent product management coach and developer of managers
  • Experience with advertising, search, or recommendations is a bonus
  • You understand how to create strategic alignment with cross-functional partners and adjacent teams
  • You are comfortable translating high-level business requirements into goals and roadmaps with your team
  • You can crisply communicate the technical details of your product to those outside of your team
  • You value people who are curious, enthusiastic, generous, and responsible
