Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in C++ software development, including a minimum of 2 years in embedded software development.
  • Understanding of hardware design and architecture.
  • Solid experience with C and C++ object-oriented design and development.
  • Experience working in Linux or a POSIX operating-system environment.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management, defect-tracking tools, and peer review.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Responsibilities
  • Develop C++ applications that control next-generation satellite terminals.
  • Design, code, test, and integrate software from requirements through production and commercial deployment.
  • Assist with estimating the time and effort required to implement new features.
  • Participate in design reviews and peer code reviews, and improve product quality.
  • Interface and work with cross-functional teams to implement feature dependencies successfully.
  • Integrate and validate new product designs.
  • Act as a member of an Agile Scrum team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with satellite communications protocols such as DVB-S2 and TDMA.
  • Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and IPv6.
  • Experience with X.509 certificates and cryptographic key management.
  • Experience with shell scripting, Perl, Lua, or Python.
  • Experience with Docker, Conan, CMake, and C++11.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, SharePoint, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
  • Working knowledge of GCC, grep, awk, sed command-line tools, Bash scripting, the GDB debugger, and the systemd suite.
