Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in the undergraduate/advanced degree program at the time of Co-op program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, good organization skills, the ability to multi-tasks, and work as a team player and independently
  • A passion for learning and contributing to multiple facets of a program
  • Have completed General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry lecture/lab course
Responsibilities
  • Supports in-process analytics for Prime's long guide RNA (ribonucleic acid) platform development using various laboratory techniques such as UPLC, LC-MC, Nano drop, Osmometer, Karl Fisher etc
  • Routine UPLC analysis of RNA oligonucleotides (crude sample, fractions, pool, pre & post-TFF samples) for multiple guide RNA
  • Maintain a log sheet for all in-process sample analysis
  • Maintain the lab instruments such as UPLC, Nano drop, LC-MS etc. in good operational condition after use
  • Documents data in the Prime's project specific folder, write a project summary report in brief and share results at scientific team meetings
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior relevant internship/Co-op experience
  • Familiarity working in chemistry laboratory, and experience with instrumentation such as UPLC, LC-MS, Nano drop is a plus
  • Familiarity about drug substance characterization is a plus
