- A Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
- A New York State license as a Licensed Masters Social Worker is required.
- A new graduate Social Worker must have a Limited Permit and provide the examination date before starting employment.
- A new graduate Social Worker must obtain a Licensed Masters Social Worker license from the State of New York within one year of hire.
- Provide a variety of psychosocial services for inpatients and their families.
- Coordinate discharge planning and the continuum of care for patients and families.
- Assist patients and families in enhancing their ability to cope with illness and daily functioning.
- Work a day shift Monday through Friday with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
- At least one year of inpatient medical/surgical experience.
- Experience with discharge planning.
