Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineer whose role will be essential to the design, implementation, and delivery of high performance, secure, mission critical solutions. We seek engineers that are versatile, display leadership qualities, and are enthusiastic to tackle new challenges as we continue to provide the military with cutting edge cyber tools.
What You’ll Be Doing:
The focus of this position is software development for an intelligent AC and DC microgrid hardware and control system. Ideal candidates will have experience with successful software development across a broad set of technical and domain skills and be able to successfully work both individually and with a team.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
1-5 years designing, developing, and testing software.
B.S. in Computer Science or Computer/Electronic Engineering disciplines from an accredited educational institution.
Full lifecycle software engineering including design, development, test and support.
Linux OS, with preferred experience with RedHat, Rocky or Yocto.
Proficiency with multiple programming languages: Strength in Java and C++ is required. Other languages, such as JavaScript/Typescript HTML/CSS, Shell Script are a plus.
Proficiency with environment and configuration management tools: Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, GIT, Webstorm, Atlassian (JIRA, Conflunce, Bitbucket), or equivalent.
Familiarity with UML, Test Driven Development, Design Pattern Implementation, Agile Software Development.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
Willing to travel.
Ability to work individually and with a team.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Familiarity with modern communications protocols.
Experience with AC or DC power systems.
Experience with communications adaptors, device simulators, and test harnesses.

Salary Range:
