Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience is required, preferably in travel or hospitality sales.
  • Experience working with Host Agencies and directly engaging Host Agency executives and leadership teams is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate-level skills with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote, is required.
  • Knowledge of or ability with Salesforce.com or a related customer relationship management system and e-commerce channels is required.
  • Travel 25%–35% of the time by car, plane, and/or train is required, including evenings and weekends, both domestically and internationally.
  • A current passport is required.
  • The ability to attend multiple conferences and events per year, potentially including international travel, is required.
  • The candidate must be based within the assigned territory.
  • The candidate must be able to influence current and prospective partners to represent and promote travel-insurance products.
  • The candidate must demonstrate advanced relationship-management, communication, negotiation, resilience, and results-driving abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of Host Business Development Managers focused on new-business acquisition and key-account management within major Host Agency partners.
  • Provide guidance, set clear performance metrics, and foster collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Develop and execute relationship strategies with Host Agency executives and leadership teams to expand adoption, increase market share, and deepen advisor-network penetration.
  • Identify and capture new-business opportunities within each Host Agency.
  • Establish QBRs, executive check-ins, and annual growth plans to align Host Agency priorities with Host Channel objectives.
  • Support advisor enablement through onboarding, training cadence, partner communications, and field engagement.
  • Own Host Channel marketing and event-related contracts, including sponsorships, co-op marketing agreements, and event-spend governance.
  • Design and manage co-op programs and bonus-override structures tied to production lift, activation, conversion, and retention outcomes.
  • Partner internally to ensure compliant execution, tracking, and reporting of funded initiatives.
  • Guide Host Business Development Managers in creating tailored strategies to activate advisor memberships, increase sales conversion, and maximize market share.
  • Drive consistent field execution, disciplined follow-up, and sales-process rigor.
  • Represent Travel Insured International at Host events, conferences, roadshows, and top-producer programs, and attend key trade and consortia events.
  • Manage sales tracking using Salesforce or a similar customer relationship management tool.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure accurate, timely reporting to executive leadership.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to refine Host Channel plans and partner strategies.
  • Partner with product, underwriting, finance, operations, and marketing teams to create targeted enablement, campaigns, and partner-specific initiatives.
  • Deliver regular progress reports on sales performance, revenue impact, event outcomes, and pipeline development.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Forecast Host Channel growth, set annual revenue targets, and align plans with company strategy.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with Host Agencies through regular meetings, training sessions, and strategy check-ins.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three or more years of experience managing others is preferred.
  • Experience in travel or hospitality sales is preferred.
  • A personal lines or property/casualty lines license is preferred.
