Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Analytics, Business, or an equivalent field is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience providing direct project coordination support on utility or related programs or projects is required.
  • Strong experience with Excel, Power BI, and other data visualization tools is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent project management planning tools is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of cost management and controls, budget forecasting, risk management, and risk mitigation is required.
  • Knowledge of project control principles and cost engineering as they relate to budgeting, monitoring and tracking actual costs, change orders, and forecasting is required.
  • Advanced skills in planning and scheduling using the critical path method are required.
  • Ability to set up basic cost reports required by the project manager is required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience with high-volume, complex projects and program management are required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, clients, and other job contacts is required.
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day is required.
  • Ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day is required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain project trackers, schedules, status logs, and action item registers.
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and key deadlines.
  • Coordinate project updates from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project execution plans for assigned work.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and current.
  • Manage small, low-complexity construction projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Coordinate project scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project execution activities and ensure timely completion of project objectives.
  • Escalate issues requiring management review while independently resolving routine project challenges.
  • Track contractor deliverables and work schedules.
  • Monitor progress against commitments and identify potential delays.
  • Coordinate communications and follow-up actions with contractors.
  • Lead monthly contractor coordination meetings when applicable.
  • Monitor contractor performance and support resolution of schedule, scope, and execution-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules for assigned projects.
  • Monitor project performance against established milestones and commitments.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and potential impacts to scope, schedule, or cost.
  • Develop and track mitigation actions and escalate concerns when appropriate.
  • Assist with project forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting activities.
  • Provide regular project and job status updates to business units and stakeholders.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and project analyses.
  • Develop summaries and presentations to support management decision-making.
  • Present project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage and maintain the Construction Project Tracker.
  • Manage and maintain current Construction Management tracking tools and dashboards.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting across all tracking systems.
  • Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and meeting minutes.
  • Track action items and follow-up activities.
  • Facilitate project meetings and coordinate stakeholder participation.
Desired Qualifications
  • PMP, Agile, or other program management certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of a cost accounting system such as SAP is a plus.

EIP-backed Guardian Infrastructure Services acquires E2 Consulting Engineers to expand utility services platform

Guardian Infrastructure Services, a utility-focused infrastructure platform backed by Energy Impact Partners, has acquired E2 Consulting Engineers, a leading provider of engineering and technical consulting services to electric and gas utilities across North America. Founded in 1988 by Hersh Saluja, E2 provides engineering, project management, inspection and field support services for critical utility infrastructure programmes including transmission reliability, wildfire mitigation, pipeline safety and grid investment initiatives. The acquisition significantly expands Guardian's engineering and technical services capabilities. The deal reflects EIP's strategy of building a scaled utility infrastructure services platform supporting grid modernisation, resiliency and energy transition programmes. Guardian plans to pursue growth through organic expansion and selective acquisitions adding complementary services. TD Cowen served as financial adviser to E2, whilst A&O Shearman and Nixon Peabody provided legal counsel.
