Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and delivering system integrations in a SaaS, logistics technology, or enterprise software environment.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, EDI, webhooks, data mapping, and extract-transform-load processes, including the ability to read an API specification, sketch a data flow, and prototype a connection.
  • Experience working directly with customer technical teams to understand their systems and design integration approaches.
  • Ability to communicate technically with engineers and customers and write specifications that both audiences can follow.
  • Experience guiding engineering teams through implementation of integration designs.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent integrations at different stages while maintaining clarity on priorities and status across projects.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customer technical teams to understand their systems, data flows, and integration requirements, then design integration approaches connecting their systems to Airspace.
  • Prototype integration concepts to validate approaches before committing engineering resources to full implementation.
  • Evaluate new integration requests and provide technical recommendations.
  • Define data mapping, API contracts, EDI specifications, and webhook configurations for engineering implementation.
  • Translate solution designs into technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • Work alongside engineers during development to answer questions, resolve ambiguities, and ensure implementations match the designed solutions.
  • Review work in progress to identify issues early and own solution integrity from design through go-live.
  • Coordinate internal engineering, data science, and operations teams with external customer technical teams throughout delivery.
  • Identify recurring integration patterns across customers and recommend platform investments, including public API endpoints, standardized data formats, self-service documentation, and reusable integration templates.
  • Contribute to an integration playbook documenting proven approaches, lessons learned, and accelerators.
  • Help define self-service integration requirements, including documentation, tools, and APIs.
  • Stay current on integration technologies and advocate for approaches that reduce implementation time and maintenance burden.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for active integrations.
  • Communicate progress, technical decisions, and tradeoffs to stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and customer success.
  • Maintain alignment between customer expectations and delivered solutions and proactively flag gaps, risks, and expansion opportunities.
  • Define integration test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing with customers, and ensure integrations work correctly before go-live.
  • Establish quality standards for integration deployments, including data validation, error handling, and performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor integration health after deployment and drive resolution of data quality and connectivity issues.
  • Create and maintain integration documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping guides, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation technology.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management System platforms and logistics data standards.
  • Experience prototyping integration concepts or building proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Experience in healthcare logistics or medical device supply chain integrations.
  • Familiarity with modern API design practices and developer experience, including API documentation, software development kits, and self-service tooling.
