Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Healthcare Leadership or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years acute care healthcare leadership experience in learning & development, organizational development, or related field
  • Practical experience using Learning theories, Instructional Design, interactive training and learning design, and e-learning design principles
  • Experience working and communicating effectively in a cross-functional environment with multiple levels of management and subject matter experts
Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the creation of a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through displays of kindness and active listening.
  • Demonstrates excellence in daily work and actively participates in performance and quality improvement activities to enhance customer/patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates effective teamwork by interacting in a positive manner with colleagues and creating a collaborative work environment; initiates open communication and conveys positive intent; contributes to a safe and secure environment by following procedures and protocols.
  • Demonstrates stewardship through thoughtful and responsible use of resources and by recognizing diverse backgrounds of patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes data on training needs, provides feedback, and crafts strategies to meet those needs; ensures training activities are on time and aligned with stakeholder requirements; assists in maintenance of the departmental budget; participates in tracking and action planning to improve outcome performance metrics; participates in strategic initiatives to enhance organizational performance.
  • Produces and evaluates training and professional development content for staff in collaboration with department leadership; stays current with learning and development best practices; provides mentoring/coaching to organizational leaders; supports succession planning; participates in peer review to improve performance
