Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in battery manufacturing or related industries, preferably in lithium-ion battery production.
  • Strong understanding of battery chemistry, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in process simulation and optimization tools (e.g., CAD, CAM, DOE).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CE).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for battery components including electrodes, electrolytes, separators, and casings.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and yield.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process bottlenecks to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
  • Evaluate and select manufacturing equipment and technologies suitable for battery production.
  • Develop and execute equipment validation protocols to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to implement customized solutions and address technical challenges.
  • Establish quality standards and specifications for battery components and finished products.
  • Implement quality control procedures to monitor and inspect manufacturing processes.
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for battery manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to mitigate workplace hazards and promote a culture of safety.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements related to battery production and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to translate product designs into scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to support seamless operations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations.
