What’s the job?
Build an experience that is memorable and unique. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a Food & Beverage Hostess, you’ll interact and engage with guests while maintaining high-quality service standards. Handle guest complaints effectively and professionally, ensuring their concerns are addressed. Ensure guests are greeted and served promptly while actively engaging in suggestive selling.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Has a thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage Hostess service technique
- Is able to take ownership of guest service more broadly and do what needs to be done
- Loves interacting with guests and believes in teamwork
- Communicates with fluency in English
- Should be passionate about the guest service experience
- Have an eye for detail – from the money that moves through their hands, to the information they provide to guests, to the quality of their drinks.
- Creating a safe workplace and following company policies and procedures
- Protecting company assets and maintaining confidentiality
- Ensuring your uniform and personal appearance are professional
What we need from you
To execute the position of Food & Beverage Hostess, the candidate must meet the legal requirements to work in the UAE. Ideally, the candidate must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in hotels with proven results and includes the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2-4 years restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local/ government authorities.
- Excellent knowledge of wine and beverage lists, current and emerging alcohol trends.
The candidate will have the ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding. They must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team; strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective time management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload; High grooming standards – wear your uniform with pride and adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standards; and flexibility to work a 6 day rotating roster – overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job.
