Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Biology or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years related work experience required in cardiac monitoring and analysis.
  • Understanding of electric conduction system and indication for implantable device therapy.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Responsibilities
  • Identifies normal and abnormal findings during basic device interrogation. This includes pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization devices.
  • Reviews and analyze data from implanted devices using specific programmers. Create summaries and reports of the findings and test results using knowledge and understanding of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Reports abnormal findings to the appropriate provider. At the direction of the physician, NP or PA, makes changes or adjustments as needed.
  • Applies and removes programmer electrodes to patients. Answers questions from patients and family members regarding the equipment and procedure in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Performs office Pacemaker/ICD interrogations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Cardiac Technician (CCT) or/and Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) preferred
  • Experience with implantable device remote monitoring preferred
