Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields from an accredited college or university. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of nuclear engineering such as neutronics, nuclear reactor physics and designs, nuclear power system, Monte Carlo methods.
  • Supervise master and doctoral students and participate in appropriate levels of service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
  • Collaborate with faculty researchers within the department and the University.
  • Develop a vigorous and sustainable grant funded research program in his or her area of expertise that leads to personal professional development and publish results from research in scholarly journals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of teaching experience or postdoctoral experience in their area of expertise with a demonstrated record of excellence or experience in collaborative research preferred
