Markets Business Controls Technology develops and enhances an extensive portfolio of applications helping the business managing the operational risk in the company and establish appropriate controls in trading. We support traders, salespeople, risk managers, financial controllers and operations staff located all over the globe. Our portfolio has multiple systems providing market controls, alerts disposition, regulatory reporting and controls inventory applications.
In the Markets Business Controls Technology team, the role of the Lead UX Analyst/Designer is a senior level role significantly contributing to the research, analysis, and design of digital products and systems. In this role you will play a key role in conceptualizing and crafting user-centric design solutions. You will collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to create intuitive, cohesive and engaging experiences for our users.
Your expertise in information architecture, visual design, interaction design, and user research will shape our products’ look, feel, and function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead meetings with users, clients, product sponsors and technology to understand project requirements
- Plan and perform UX research, define IA, user journeys, and create personas
- Identify metrics and data that can support decision-making, guiding tech partners where needed to add necessary metrics
- Translate user needs and product requirements into UX requirements, user flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
- Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using specialist tools such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, and the Adobe suite
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritize UX design work and create deliverables that will satisfy our users’ needs.
- Use and contribute to the approved design system
- Contribute to design standards and best practices
- Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs
- Provide ongoing support to development, with regular UX review checkpoints ensuring quality and spec are as designed
- Contribute to the wider UX community of practice
- Promote the value of UX within the wider organization
- Advocate for the user at all times, ensuring user-centric design approach in all phases of design and development.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
- Significant experience on complex, enterprise-scale design projects
- Experience in planning and conducting UX research
- Knowledge of usability and accessibility principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent skills in professional design tools e.g., Sketch, Figma, AdobeXD, Axure, InVision etc.
- Experience in using/creating design systems
