Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 15 years of media experience in an agency setting, including significant leadership within commerce, shopper, or retail media.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing strategy teams.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence senior clients and cross-functional partners.
  • Deep experience in third-party commerce media and a strong working understanding of retail media networks and their role within the broader connected media ecosystem.
  • Strong adoption of artificial intelligence, with the ability to build skills and agents to automate workflow and make the product smarter, faster, and more efficient.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the Commerce Media Strategy practice by establishing clear priorities, ways of working, and expectations for strategic excellence across clients.
  • Partner with leadership to define the vision and roadmap for the future of commerce media strategy as shopper discovery, media platforms, and commerce behaviors change.
  • Serve as the senior capability lead for commerce media planning and strategy, partnering with agency, Groupe, and cross-functional teams to integrate commerce media into broader connected media strategies.
  • Define how Connected Identity, audience intelligence, technology, and measurement are applied across commerce media planning, including audience definition, investment strategy, activation, and performance evaluation.
  • Partner with Ecommerce, Retail Consultancy, Media Investment, Analytics, Data, and Technology leaders to connect commerce media to the broader commerce ecosystem while maintaining clear ownership boundaries across capabilities.
  • Lead the development of the commerce media planning approach across clients, including annual planning, investment strategy, audience definition, and test-and-learn roadmaps that translate business objectives into actionable recommendations and growth opportunities.
  • Play a hands-on role for key clients by building plans and strategies aligned with the new commerce media vision.
  • Integrate commerce media into the agency's Connected Media pillars and advance how Connected Identity and other data assets inform planning, strategy, audience development, activation, and measurement.
  • Anticipate changes in commerce media, including artificial-intelligence-enabled planning, social commerce, shoppable media, retail media, digital incentives, and emerging discovery behaviors, and translate those changes into new capabilities, planning approaches, and client growth opportunities.
  • Serve as an authority on communications planning, bring creative ideas forward in brainstorms, quantify the impact and measurement of plans and investment strategies, and ensure flawless execution.
  • Build client relationships and work daily with clients throughout campaign development and implementation, resolving issues related to changes in direction, campaign goals, and budgets.
  • Work with internal and external strategic media partners and internal teams to develop integrated, cross-platform shopper media strategies and plans.
  • Evaluate media opportunities against a variety of criteria and exercise sound judgment in allocating clients' shopper media investments.
  • Negotiate with vendor partners to obtain media availability and placement, advantageous rates, and added value, and evaluate media opportunities for achieving client objectives.

Publicis Groupe has agreed to acquire LiveRamp, a global data collaboration platform, for $2.2 billion in an all-cash transaction at $38.50 per share, representing a 29.8% premium to LiveRamp's closing price on 15 May 2026. LiveRamp connects over 25,000 publisher domains and 500+ technology partners across 14 markets, enabling brands, retailers and media platforms to unify and activate data securely. The company has 1,300 employees and delivered a trailing five-year compound annual growth rate of 13%. The acquisition will position Publicis as a leader in data co-creation, enabling clients to build more intelligent AI agents by combining multiple data sources securely. Publicis has raised its 2027-2028 growth objectives to 7-8% for net revenue and 8-10% for headline earnings per share. The transaction is expected to close before year-end 2026, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Fabric Social sold to Publicis Groupe UK with revenues exceeding $17M

Mayo-born entrepreneur Niall McGarry has sold Fabric Social to Publicis Groupe UK, a division of the world's largest communications group. The company reported revenues of £13 million (€14.9 million) in the 12 months to March 2026 and employed 110 people at the time of sale. Fabric Social was profitable and served blue-chip clients in Britain including Sky, Subway EMEA, Currys, Morrisons, Just Eat, Autotrader, Holland & Barrett and Vodafone. The company also operated a smaller Irish business as a retained social agency. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Publicis acquires 160over90, declares sports marketing its 'next big bet

Publicis Groupe has acquired sports marketing agency 160over90 from WME Group for an undisclosed sum, positioning sports as its "next big bet" for growth. The deal is pending regulatory approval. Founded in 2001, 160over90 employs over 670 people across the US, UK, EMEA and APAC, working with global brands on major sporting events including the Super Bowl, Olympics and World Cup. The agency will join Publicis Sports, led by CEO Suzy Deering. Publicis is forming a partnership with WME to enable collaborations between its agencies and WME's talent roster. The acquisition follows Publicis' purchases of sports agencies Adopt and Bespoke in 2025 and creator marketing agency Influential in 2024. Publicis reported $17.18 billion in net revenue in 2025, up 5.6% year-on-year.
