Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in a BDM, BDR, SDR, or similar sales role involving cold calling, pitching, and relationship building
  • Strong communication skills including oral, written, and presentation abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and lead generation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Interest in data analytics, cloud technologies, and digital transformation
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • Experience working based off a transactional quota and high intensity sales motions
  • Growth mindset with eagerness to learn about emerging technologies in data, artificial intelligence, and cloud, and how they solve real-world business problems
  • High moral character with a desire to do what is right for prospects and clients
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and 2-3 days per week in office at the Chicago headquarters
Responsibilities
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through outbound outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, events)
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and messaging
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Spaulding Ridge service offerings
  • Support the sales team in pipeline development and strategic account planning
  • Support Managing Directors and Principal Architects to drive and manage complex sales cycles and present value to prospects, software partners and clients
  • Generate pipeline by leveraging Spaulding Ridge’s strategic relationships, demand generation tools, and ongoing marketing automation within key market segments
  • Develop qualified prospects by following up on marketing-generated leads and inbound requests, following up with event attendees, performing outbound cold calling and email correspondence, and utilizing other forms of digital prospecting to targeted prospects
  • Develop co-selling transformative Data Solution opportunities with technology partners like Snowflake, DBT, Coalesce, Omni, and Sigma
  • Exceed weekly and monthly sales metrics, forecasts, meetings, and call objectives
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across practice areas
  • Represent Spaulding Ridge’s values with each touchpoint
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience self-generating new business and upside if familiar with channel relationship selling
  • Prior experience selling data analytics, cloud, or engineering services—especially in a consulting or B2B environment
  • Familiarity with terms like data warehousing/data lake (e.g., Snowflake), ETL, Data Transformation (dbt, Coalesce), BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, Omni), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
