- Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services services including Elastic Compute Cloud, Simple Storage Service, Virtual Private Cloud, Identity and Access Management, Lambda, and CloudFormation is required.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is required.
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements is required.
- Ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions is required.
- Strong documentation and technical communication skills are required.
- Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, and PowerShell is required.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
- Design, optimize, and enhance cloud-based architectures to support ESS operational requirements.
- Create scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that enable rapid deployment and customization of engagement infrastructure across diverse mission scenarios.
- Lead planning and implementation for migrating on-premises capabilities into the Amazon Web Services cloud.
- Customize capabilities to align with engagement scope and technical and operational parameters.
- Develop automation frameworks to streamline provisioning and deployment processes.
- Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates and documentation.
- Ensure the architecture supports rapid reconfiguration for dynamic mission needs.
- Implement security controls including encryption, namespace obfuscation, and hardened configurations.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to improve operational capabilities.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to implementation teams.
- Support troubleshooting of complex architectural issues during active operations.
- Experience designing solutions for cybersecurity or incident response operations.
- Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with Splunk.
- Experience migrating on-premises legacy systems to a cloud environment.
- Experience with Azure and Entra.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and Elastic Container Service.
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks including FedRAMP and NIST.
- Background in system administration or DevOps.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
- A Master’s degree.
