Requirements
  • 3+ years in a software development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent a plus.
  • Experience building and managing a team
  • Demonstrable experience with technical writing for cloud and/or devops products, preferably in a start-up environment.
  • Familiarity with the content and voice needed to engage with the Open Source developer community.
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies a plus: Languages: Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#. Cloud Platforms: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities
  • Produce high quality documentation, including code samples, for our API, website, sales collateral and open source communication.
  • Create the technical curriculum (e.g., tutorials, getting started) to get customers from a 100 to 400 level.
  • Edit, clarify, and proofread documentation written by others, and help non-writers improve their skills.
  • Develop and implement a voice that will be used across Pulumi documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, marketing, and sales to prioritize, develop, and deliver product documentation.
  • Manage a team of technical writers and engineers.
