Requirements
  • Prior experience with EPIC scheduling or template editing is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and use time-management skills.
  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
  • One year of experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Ability to frequently use vision and depth perception for near and far distances and identify and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to frequently use hearing and speech for oral communication and hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
  • Ability to frequently use a keyboard and perform data entry.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and grip.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Ability to rarely climb.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to phone calls received by the Call Center.
  • Register patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Respond with information or assistance, or transfer calls to the appropriate person or department.
  • Research and document patient information to facilitate appointment scheduling.
  • Coordinate system build, testing, workflow analysis, training, onsite support, provider template management, and protocol management.
  • Create master scheduling templates for new and existing providers.
  • Modify provider schedules to optimize patient access and provider productivity.
  • Collaborate with managers and providers to identify optimal provider schedules.
  • Perform daily schedule edits and ensure adherence to the Master Schedule policy.
  • Work call and referral lists and provide coverage for Patient Scheduling as needed.
  • Maintain guidelines for Patient Scheduling, Master Scheduling, and Referral.
