About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Director Strategic Alliances to join Userlane. The position can be based in London or Munich and will concentrate on crafting and enhancing relationships with top-tier technology vendors like Microsoft and SAP, predominantly in the UK and US markets.
You will not only be responsible for expanding Userlane’s commercial reach through co-selling initiatives and, ideally, inclusion on vendor price lists but also engage in technical collaborations and R&D initiatives. Coordinating across functions like Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, your mission will be to drive success for both Userlane and our alliance partners.
Your mission
- Establish and deepen strategic partnerships with key enterprise software vendors such as Microsoft and SAP and negotiate and formalize alliance agreements.
- Cultivate win-win relationships by effectively communicating Userlane’s value proposition to decision-makers and our alliance partners’ ecosystem.
- Develop a value proposition for joint customers and devise go-to-market strategies that capture new revenue streams and customer segments.
- Establish and drive joint marketing, co-sell, and re-sell motions via our alliance partners’ go-to-market organizations.
- Leverage our alliance partners’ ecosystems of consulting partners to extend our reach.
- Act as the primary contact between Userlane and strategic partners, orchestrating collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
- Support our R&D units in identifying and leveraging integrations and technological opportunities together with our alliance partners.
- Conduct regular performance and ROI assessments of each alliance, refining strategies as needed.
- Build a strategic roadmap for our alliances, ensuring internal buy-in and adequate resource allocation.
Your profile:
- You bring a solid 7-10 years of work experience, with 3-5 years concentrated in strategic alliances or business development within the SaaS industry.
- You have a strong network and track record of establishing successful relationships with major technology vendors, specifically Microsoft and SAP.
- You are adept at articulating complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You have exceptional project management abilities and are skilled in negotiating contracts and structuring partnership agreements.
- Autonomous and driven, you understand that true impact comes from action, not just conversation.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Bonus: You bring proven experience in converting partnerships from mere agreements to meaningful revenue channels.
