Requirements
- 3-5 years of law firm or in-house legal experience with a focus on mutual funds, ETFs, and investment advisers.
- Knowledge of Investment Company Act of 1940, Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and Securities Act of 1933.
- JD degree.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of SEC regulatory materials, including registration statements, for our diverse and expanding line-up of ETFs and mutual funds.
- Support the development and launch of industry-leading ETFs by preparing regulatory documents and advising business teams.
- Negotiate and draft a diverse array of contracts including vendor agreements, license agreements, technology agreements, and derivative contracts.
- Provide guidance on regulatory and legal issues that impact the firm’s ETF, mutual fund and Investment advisory businesses; coordinate with industry trade groups to help shape regulatory outcomes.
- Actively participate in the Board oversight process by preparing memos, resolutions, and minutes.
