Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Psychology seeks applications for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor, starting in January 2026, to teach two in-person course sections of Developmental Psychology. The courses are scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. The course covers psychological theory and research on cognitive and social developmental changes across the lifespan.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree or Doctorate in psychology or a closely related discipline required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in the relevant sub-discipline; experience with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard Ultra); and a commitment to teaching contemporary theoretical and empirical perspectives using active learning pedagogies preferred.
