  • 18 yrs. or older, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have an Android-based cell phone.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time.
  • Competence at using apps and willingness to get familiar with the Transit App is key in providing customer support during special events.
  • Must have good customer service skills - ready to interact with the public and provide a positive experience as the face of the company.
Responsibilities
  • assist MTA customers with disabilities to ensure that all clients are able to equally utilize the transit facilities.
  • provide assistance such as directing customers as they enter or exit stations, board vehicles, or use fare vending machines.
  • inspect the transit station facilities and take action to preserve the cleanliness and safety of all public areas.
  • provide customer service support with bus bridges/shuttles while construction is being done to the transit tracks or stations and during road construction resulting in bus detours.
