Requirements
  • 18 yrs. or older, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must own a working cell phone with WiFi/data capability
  • Must be able to stand for 4 hours minimum and maximum up to 8-12 hours (based on applicant's ability)
  • Competence at using apps and willingness to get familiar with the Transit App is key in providing customer support during special events
  • Must have good customer service skills - ready to interact with the public and provide a positive experience as the face of the company
Responsibilities
  • Assist MTA customers with disabilities to ensure equal utilization of transit facilities
  • Direct customers as they enter or exit stations, board vehicles, or use fare vending machines
  • Inspect the transit station facilities and take action to preserve cleanliness and safety of public areas
  • Provide customer service support with bus bridges/shuttles during construction affecting transit tracks or stations
