Responsibilities
  • Update design changes on existing Diabetes products through process, and regulatory changes to maintain product safety and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines
  • Support and collaborate with applicable stakeholders across the Diabetes organization
  • Evaluate field returns and perform root cause analysis to assess the patient/user risk associated with the post market life-cycle phase
  • Assess applicable System and product requirements for updates to released products
  • Participate in meeting departmental goals and objectives
  • Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills for new product development
  • May be involved in triaging, troubleshooting, and supporting Field Corrective Actions and CAPAs
  • Drive collaborative design and development of medical devices; mobile apps, insulin pumps and glucose sensors
  • Drive collaborative design and development of features in apps connected to cloud data systems with machine learning
  • Perform technical analysis such as functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies
  • Develop system concepts, capture user needs, and create use cases or user stories
  • Develop and manage multiple levels of requirements
  • Develop and document interface designs and protocols
  • Define, plan, and conduct formal technical design and test reviews
  • Guide, develop, and review verification strategies, test designs, test tools, planned execution and documentation
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
