- Provide administrative support for network maintenance and documentation.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures as required.
- Update network configuration changes and equipment inventory as changes occur.
- Provide weekly and monthly system status and trouble-ticket reports.
- Manage networks in coordination with JS/J6 and Joint Service Provider.
- Review changes to the Joint Service Provider network, assess their impact, and provide recommendations for government approval to keep hardware, software, and operations aligned with the J6/Joint Service Provider enterprise-level environment.
- Test and validate patches and new software in the lab or testbed.
- Attend Configuration Control Boards and Engineering Review Boards with the customer for update and release approvals.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense, Defense Information Systems Agency, United States Cyber Command, and Joint Staff guidance.
- Provide helpdesk and information technology support, including troubleshooting, assistance, and advice.
- Maintain and track the inventory of all hardware and software using the in-house inventory system.
- Assist with new hardware and software acquisitions, including research and quote generation.
- Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software-related problems.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
