Position Overview
The Vice President of Engineering will be a key member of the engineering team, responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of all engineering activities within the company. This individual will lead the design, development, and optimization of our SaaS based solutions, ensuring that we continue to push the boundaries of technology, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in payment technology, a strong track record of leadership, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving industry.
In this role, you will report to the Chief Technology Officer. You will work collaboratively with the Product Managers, Engineering Directors, architects and DevOps teams to further enhance our SaaS based solution.
Prior experience in payment industry is highly desired.

Primary Job Duties
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end development of products, from concept to commercialization. Ensure that products meet or exceed customer requirements for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Technology Innovation: Drive research and development initiatives to enhance our technology. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Operational Excellence: Focus on metrics and KPIs. Implement best practices in engineering to measure what matters.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including product management, customers, & other internal functions, to ensure alignment on technical specifications, compliance, and market needs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to product design, development, and deployment..
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage the engineering budget, including capital expenditures and staffing. Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and project outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 15 years of technology experience in high-growth companies with at least 10 years in leadership positions. Domain experience in Payment Processing is highly desired.
- Having managed organization of 40+
- Having managed/implemented CI/CD and familiarity with various DevOps tools preferably in AWS environment
Technical Expertise:
- Experience is working in a SaaS based product with high uptime requirements
- Prior management of technology and process change, e.g. migration to cloud, architecture evolution, adoption of DevOps.
- Prior working experience developing cloud based applications with focus in Amazon Web Services (AWS), DevOps, MicroServices; CI/CD
- Experience managing on-site, off-site and off-shore resources
- Experience adhering to an Agile development environment and iterative sprint cycle and continuous delivery into production
Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability and focus on KPI and metrics and looking to measure what matters
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse engineering team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated capability to develop and implement engineering strategies that align with business objectives and drive technological advancements.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
