Root Access provides AI-native tools for embedded systems engineers to streamline firmware development. Its main product, the Hideout IDE, is a universal IDE that lets engineers configure peripherals, generate code, and compile firmware across multiple toolchains, with an AI agent named Seb to help generate and validate code. It differentiates itself by using hardware datasheets and schematics (via Altium) to produce customized, validated firmware rather than generic templates, and targets robotics, defense, and industrial automation. Its goal is to shorten the firmware development cycle and deliver reliable embedded software for mission-critical hardware, with clients including Mitsubishi Electric and East West Manufacturing and a $2.1 million pre-seed round in 2025.
