Requirements
  • Understand RF hardware design principles and RF systems
  • Experience delivering advanced development hardware
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship)
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of applicable experience; Master’s degree with at least 3 years; or PhD; equivalent experience considered
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience with RF systems, design, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, and data analysis
  • Experience delivering briefings and executing technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS)
  • Demonstrated achievements in RF, radar, communications systems, RF component specification and selection, analog/digital signal processing, SDRs, FPGA firmware/hardware, microcontrollers and embedded processors
  • Ability to obtain Active Secret or Top Secret clearance considered a plus
  • Nice to have radar/electronic warfare, microwave engineering, DSP, embedded software, physics modeling and simulation
Responsibilities
  • Support development of RF hardware systems through the development lifecycle from system requirements definition through to delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications to ensure seamless integration and interoperability
  • Support development of system architecture and implement the design to meet the architecture
  • Create hardware designs (with supporting technical justification artifacts) and support assembly, integration, and testing
  • Identify and select RF systems components (active/passive devices, antennas, connectors, cables, enclosures, etc.)
  • Conduct supporting analyses to inform/justify decisions (RF link budgets)
  • Support assembly, initial operation, and check out of system (including definition of test plans)
  • Near term tasking related to RF systems for airborne applications, may be tasked on other applications as needed
