Course Description: 

Underpinnings of educational theories and current research in secondary social sciences education. Topics include the nature, content, methodology and implications of professional practice. All addressed through the development of professional competencies. Parts of this course may be undertaken in school settings.
 

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education

1. PhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and master teachers with an MA with extensive relevant experience will be considered

2. A teaching degree or equivalent, and experience teaching in secondary schools

Experinece

• Expert Knowledge of course content
• Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)
• Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation
• Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors. 
• Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date 

Posting Period: June 1, 2025 to June 13, 2025 (inclusive)
