Role
Okta is seeking a Director to lead a team of technical product managers with full ownership of Auth0 platform (the technology powering Okta’s Customer Identity Cloud). The platform team is responsible for both the technology that underpins Auth0’s identity and access management services across thousands of global customers; and the internal developer tools that are leveraged by the engineering teams.
Reporting to Senior Vice President of Product, you will manage a team of technical product managers in close collaboration with the platform engineering team, program management, design, pricing, finance, go-to-market and legal teams. This role is cross-functional in essence as the platform teams support the product engineering teams in building innovative and differentiated capabilities to support the high growth of Okta’s business with an eye on improving efficiency.
Responsibilities
You will leverage data and technical/market experience to make lots of decisions every day to help unblock teams and will not hesitate to make bold recommendations to senior company leadership.
You will support the platform product management team in the following areas:

Requirements management: definition, prioritization, release strategy

Leveraging data for estimating, measuring progress and course correcting (Adoption, SLA, etc.)

Defining, publishing and communicating Platform Product Vision and Roadmap
-
Roadmap sourcing strategy: Build x Buy x Partner

Monitoring Business impact: ROI, Pricing, Margins

Partnering with go-to-market on Product Launches
-
Continuously monitor team structure and investment levels providing recommendations for optimizations

Partner in a leading role with Program Management and Engineering leadership in quarterly and yearly planning
What You Bring:
-
10+ years of technology leadership (directly managing people) focused on B2B technologies, preferable in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS; at least 8 years of product management experience.

Experience with Agile software development balanced with enterprise software customer needs

Experience building and maintaining a long-term roadmap on an environment of constant change

Experience shipping highly-available and scalable solutions in the cloud-native CNCF/Kubernetes ecosystem

Experience building interfaces and tools for developers and engineering teams

Solid business foundation having built business cases and defined pricing models that optimize for unit economics

Experience partnering with go-to-market teams in launching software products

Experience meeting enterprise customers and directly addressing product direction and specific roadmap inquiries

Strong ability to influence and work cross-functionally

Excellent communication and presentation skills
