Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least two years of youth hockey, street hockey, and rink operations experience are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required, along with occasional ability to travel to meet potential clients and attend industry conferences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain relationships with a varied group of individuals are required.
  • The ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment is required.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required is necessary.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A valid Utah driver's license is required.
  • Applicants must pass a Motor Vehicle Report screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
  • The position requires the ability to communicate and express oneself in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, market, communicate, and fully implement all street hockey camps, clinics, programs, and events.
  • Plan, schedule, market, communicate, and fully implement Youth Programs Department camps, clinics, programs, and events, including Hockey 101 programs, street hockey clinics, street hockey leagues, 3v3 street hockey tournaments, hockey parties, pop-up marketing ventures, and Industry Growth Fund initiatives and programs.
  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of part-time staff while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Build positive relationships with parks and recreation departments and their community leaders.
  • Administer existing programming and any new programming developed or administered by the Youth Programs Department.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Industry Growth Fund requirements and standards, as well as sponsor requirements and standards.
  • Order sufficient quantities and correct sizes of jerseys, T-shirts, hats, promotional items, and equipment as approved and needed to implement the programs.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing for all Youth Programs events, including participating in events as an instructor.
  • Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities assigned by the Amateur Hockey Director and Manager, Street Hockey Programs.
