Requirements
  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to set goals and achieve results.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and the team.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize competing demands.
Responsibilities
  • Focus on front-counter customer service and sales using automotive parts, service, and wheel/tire experience.
  • Recommend vehicle service, provide service quotes, and receive customer authorization for work to be performed.
  • Share product knowledge and technical expertise to provide excellent front-counter customer service.
  • Assist with completion of the annual budget, including forecasting revenue and expenditures, accurately tracking budget numbers, and focusing on operational benchmarks.
  • Assist with recruitment and development of Associates dedicated to providing a superior customer experience.
  • Supervise and motivate Associates to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Assist with inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.
  • Assist with identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable and credit clients.
  • Ensure store Associates complete assigned training and provide feedback and reinforcement as required.
  • Handle customer complaints within a reasonable timeframe and maintain documentation of complaints and resolutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • A post-secondary diploma, degree, or certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an assistant manager, service writer, or service manager is an asset.
  • Proven leadership ability and previous people management experience, including recruitment and discipline, is an asset.
