  • Bachelor's or advanced degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience implementing solutions to support manufacturing operations and QC labs in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry and have a good understanding of relevant business processes.
  • Experience working in a GxP environment and a thorough understanding of system validation.
  • Experience managing nearshore / offshore enterprise application support teams.
  • Experience supporting SAP business processes.
  • Understanding of the Core SAP modules (MM, PP, SD, FI/CO, QM & WM) and integration points between them.
  • Experience with creation of SAP Security Roles, role management (Assigning authorization objects & transactions to roles), and general user management.
  • Experience implementing barcode scanners and Zebra printers.
  • Experience with programing and development in SAP with ABAP and/or Fiori applets.
  • Experience with all phases of the system implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technology selection and hands-on solution delivery.
  • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to effectively support a diverse set of applications and technologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • The location of this position is in Durham, NC. Candidate must be able to work on site full time.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as IT systems manager for SAP S/4 Hana Cloud and assist in managing additional systems in the future, such as MES.
  • Provide project and operational support for the SAP S/4 Hana Cloud implementation utilized at the NC site.
  • Lead efforts to improve Technical Operations business processes through integration between SAP and other systems, such as MES, QMS, & LIMS.
  • Install, configure, and maintain SaaS, on-premise and hybrid solutions, adhering to GxP validation and Quality standards as required.
  • Work with business leaders to define requirements for IT application and hardware solutions to enhance and support processes onsite.
  • Provide on-call support, as required, for IT systems issues when manufacturing operations are taking place.
