Requirements
  • You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • You have strong technical proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
  • You are knowledgeable in modern API frameworks, including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
  • You have hands-on experience in GraphQL, including schema design, API development, and client-side querying.
  • You excel in effective verbal and written communication, capable of presenting complex technical concepts clearly to diverse partners and peers.
  • You bring a solid foundation in Agile/Scrum development practices and continuously learn from past actions to make improvements.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement reliable, high-performance web applications and services.
  • Work with local and international developers to maintain and enhance Expedia systems.
  • Quickly create minimum viable products and help define and execute the technical vision.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code flexibility and object-oriented practices.
  • Drive improvement in software quality and processes within an Agile development environment.
  • Write automated tests and work across data sources to integrate them into a scalable, maintainable shopping stack.
