Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in User Research / UX Strategy related studies (e.g. sociology, human-computer interaction, psychology, anthropology …) – or equivalent work experience
  • Multiple years of professional experience in a leading research & innovation team in agency or in-house environment gained during the last 5 years
  • A convincing track record that shows your ability to move from customer insights to MVP
  • Experience as a team / project / community of practice lead with strong project planning skills
  • A broad skillset to cover the full range of research methods – focus on qualitative research, ideally also quantitative research, experience with Design Thinking, Service Design and agile ways of working
  • Strong stakeholder management skills as well as verbal, written and visual communication and presentation skills in English and ideally also German, the ability to communicate the value of customer centricity within a design and business context
Responsibilities
  • Lead and plan Design Thinking / Strategic projects within cross-functional teams
  • Help your project team to learn from the target research participants early and continuously with the most effective and state of the art method mix
  • Enable your project team to synthesize key insights and translate them into tangible solutions; ensure close collaboration with business & tech units and high quality of project outcomes – in the sweet spot of desirability, feasibility and viability
  • Be responsible for professional and effective stakeholder management including convincing presentations and SteerCos, acting as a reliable and strong partner for the ZEISS business units
  • Support the ongoing professionalization of our research processes, incl. research ops / compliance and further develop our methodologies – leveraging latest technologies
  • Help to scale Design Thinking and human centric design at ZEISS
