Job Description

• As a Director of Software Development, you will lead a software development team and be responsible for product diagnosability and resiliency improvements, driving defect resolutions across the cloud stack along with functionality, design and architecture reviews improving customer experience and thereby contributing.
• Providing leadership, direction to the team and executing on projects.
• Managing geographically distributed teams.
• Delivering critical product diagnosability and, resiliency on-time with the high quality
• Identify process improvements in automated problem identification/triage and resolution recommendation
• Work in global environment and collaborate with multiple teams including presenting your work in development forums

Qualifications

• 12 + years experience developing web applications preferably in networking and security companies. 
• Should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in application development using Java/REST APIs.
• 5 + years of Leadership experience managing 10+ engineers.
• Passion for developing solutions to help help with prompt resolution of customer reported issues
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Execution focus and proven track record of timely and impactful deliveries.
• Experience in working in Agile methodologies.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and able to contribute innovative ideas while paying careful attention to detail.
• Strong team leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, motivate and influence others.
• Value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
• Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
