Requirements
  • Experience with multiple security protocols such as: OAuth, SAML, LDAP, SCIM, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying Microsoft solutions not limited to Identity(Entra), but also Intune(MDM), Defender(EDR), Conditional access policy, cert based authentication(CBA) etc.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, web and mobile application architecture, IP-based real-time communications.
  • An understanding of core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)
  • Typically 25% travel
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Support the sales and pre-sales team in helping customers understand what is possible with Okta, and guide strategy when encountering Microsoft-based identity solutions whether it is Microsoft Entra or on-premise Microsoft Identity Manager(MIM).
  • Deliver hands-on POVs showing how Okta integrates with the many different Microsoft products including Microsoft Entra, Intune, Windows Hello for Business, on-premise Active Directory, Azure VDI etc.
  • Utilize your understanding of a customer’s holistic environment including Endpoint Detection & Response(EDR), firewalls, proxies, VPN, CASB, databases, and applications to ensure that the proposed architecture is viable and can be implemented by the customer or professional services.
  • Use a variety of tools to help depict complex architecture diagrams and sequence diagrams that include various Okta Products in the solution.
  • Use your understanding of various protocols (SAML, OAUTH/OIDC, KERBEROS, SCIM, etc.) to plan multi-protocol integration architectures that incorporate Okta with various technologies.
  • Distill and communicate customer needs and feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales. In particular, support pre-sales enablement sessions by providing expert know-how in all aspects of Microsoft-competitive situations.
