WHAT IS THE POSITION
The Billing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the customer billing process end to end beginning with the initial Order in Salesforce all the way through to their invoice in Netsuite. They will analyze individual customer accounts, as well as the overall process for many of our core products, ideally making recommendations on best practices and areas to automate where needed in order to remove manual work if an automated solution could accomplish the same task in a quicker and more accurate way.

The Billing Analyst will be responsible for executing monthly billing cycle activities, which include prepaid, scheduled, consumption (in arrears) and revenue accounting. Often there will be complex credit and rebill scenarios and it will be imperative to understand what happened in order to determine what should have happened according to the contract language so an accurate correction can be made in a timely manner. The Billing Analyst will also provide assistance in reconciling the general ledger and business accounts while working closely with Corporate Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and the Order Procurement and Processing Group (OPP).

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Process and manage accurate and timely customer invoicing
• Assist with the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other support of revenue accounting
• Ensure appropriate supporting documentation for journal entries and other adjustments prior to recording
• Manage the process of obtaining data required for invoicing
• Research and analyze variances as identified. Communicate and resolve as appropriate
• Create pro forma customer invoices as needed
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Provide data and analysis to the AR Supervisor and team on collections and cash application queries
• Assist with creating solutions to streamline workflows
• Support special projects and financial reporting as needed

WHAT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred
• 5+ years of billing experience desired
• NetSuite and/or Salesforce experience a plus
• Contract review experience a plus
• Data review and processing skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel User
